About this product
S4S means surfaced four sides: the timber arrives planed on all four faces to a consistent finished section, rather than as rough sawn stock you have to dress yourself. For a furniture or joinery shop that removes a whole machining pass, the dust extraction that goes with it, and the waste.
Grading follows the Malaysian Grading Rule, the national standard, so the specification means the same thing to us, to the mill and to you. Sections are cut to your own list rather than to a standard length, which keeps your docking waste down.
